Clinician, Foster Care

As a Foster Clinician, you will provide clinical services to children in foster care and support foster families, and families within the foster care system. The Therapeutic Foster Family Program provides foster and pre-adoptive foster homes for abused and neglected children from birth through age 21. Each foster parent receives intensive training and ongoing professional support to promote a positive, successful experience. You will report to the Clinical Supervisor and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, treatment planning and general counseling for children in foster care.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and families, when needed
- Conduct specialized risk assessments
- Consult with other staff involved in the care of the child and families
- Attend all case related meetings (Counsel on Special Education, Termination of Parental Rights, staff meetings, service provider meetings, emergency meetings, court), for cases they are serving
- Participate in formal and informal supervision.
- Meet regularly in the community regarding cases they are seeing for general counseling.
- Have regular communication/meeting with birth families around progress/problems of children in care and how to support them in and work towards permanency.
- Provide regular case documentation for all children and families on workload including assessments, progress notes, Family Service Plan, etc.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a Master’s degree in counseling with related experience.
- Limited permit is required; professional licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT) preferred.

Speech Pathologist

As a Speech Pathologist, you will provide Speech Therapy services to the school and the amazing students that we have. You will report to the clinical Supervisor and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group speech and language therapy in person .

As a Residential Program Manager, you will manage and oversee child care and milieu activities across the residential system, promoting a therapeutic environment that supports active permanency planning and work. You will report to the Residential Executive Program Director and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor Residential Program schedules to ensure a balance of experienced staff across shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Northern Rivers Family of Services seeks a leader for the Youth ACT Crisis Response program in Schenectady, NY. Seeking an experienced professional who will develop and supervise a multi-disciplinary team that provides services to youth and families with the highest level of need in the community. The over-arching goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement, in-patient hospitalization, and involvement with the child welfare system by expanding services to youth ages 10 to 21 with significant psychiatric needs, who are at risk of institutional level of care, and who require intensive interventions to support the child and family’s complex needs.

Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families, who are in crisis, experiencing an emotional or behavioral disturbance by phone and on-site within the community, and as assigned, participate in acute care emergency services rotation system designed to facilitate and strengthen community-based crisis intervention services. This includes rotation of schedule to provide coverage during holidays and weekends.
- Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.
- Analyze information to identify action plan, which includes crisis stabilization plan, safety, and crisis prevention plans, and plan for follow-up. Consult with team and supervisors.
- Coordinate with community resources for collateral input and follow-up care, including referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment.
- Provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families in the home or community (wherever the individual is experiencing a crisis).
Requirements and Education:

Description
As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming for elementary aged children according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) Residential Counselors work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
1:1 Residential Counselor
You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.

As a Peer Support Specialist, you will be a member of the Mobile Team, assisting the clinicians on Mobile visits and providing support and advocacy to individuals in crisis. You will also be a resource to the clinicians and case manager, through sharing their knowledge of common challenges individuals with SPMI endure and sharing knowledge about community resources. You will be an individual (adult) with lived experience with mental illness. You will report to the Clinical Site Supervisor and you will work on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with service providers involved with individuals with SPMI.
- Provide information and peer to peer support to individuals who are served by the program.
- Educate and empower clients and their supports regarding their roles in developing crisis plans and in crisis prevention.
- Educate service providers regarding an individual's role in developing a crisis plan for themselves and in crisis prevention. Ensure that the individual is an integral part of the crisis planning process.
- Inform service providers (including Mobile Crisis and PCFC providers) regarding person- centered and strength-based practices. Maintain and model a focus on strengths.
- Utilize clinicians and clinical supervisor for advocacy for individuals served.
- Ensure that clients are satisfied with the services they are receiving and, if not, help them advocate for what they need.
- Educate individuals and primary caretakers on how to advocate if services are not meeting their needs.
- Be the liaison to other local supports in the community.
- Link individuals to Peer Support Services activities such as support groups, social events, newsletter.

Per Diem Clinician/Social Worker - Mobile Crisis
Location: Schenectady, NY or Queensbury, NY
Day, Evening, and Weekend Shifts available
As a Clinician for Mobile Crisis, you will provide crisis risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), crisis stabilization and interventions, de-escalation techniques and follow-up services to the identified client experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. These interventions, provided by telephone and on-site mobile visits, will be implemented using a strength-based, trauma-informed, systems-oriented perspective and will include the development of crisis prevention and safety plans; follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of plans; coordination of services with existing treatment providers; and linkage to additional community-based therapeutic resources and supports. You will directly report to the Clinical Site Supervisors with Director and Executive Program Director guidance and support. You will work on-site with travel to the community and individuals' homes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families, who are in crisis, experiencing an emotional or behavioral disturbance by phone and on-site within the community, and as assigned, participate in acute care emergency services rotation system designed to facilitate and strengthen community-based crisis intervention services. This includes rotation of schedule to provide coverage during holidays and weekends.
- Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.
- Analyze information to identify action plan, which includes crisis stabilization plan, safety, and crisis prevention plans, and plan for follow-up. Consult with team and supervisors.
- Coordinate with community resources for collateral input and follow-up care, including referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment.
- Provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families in the home or community (wherever the individual is experiencing a crisis).
Requirements and Education:
- Looking for applicants with their LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R licensure
- Requires a Masters' degree (MSW/MHC) and two years of related experience
- Must have a valid NYS Drivers License and be willing and able to drive to clients' homes and communities under a variety of circumstances and weather conditions. Position Summary

As a Mobile Clinical Site Supervisor, you will oversee daily management and oversight of all staff to ensure management of the crisis line and onsite response to all 6 counties is coordinated. You will report to the Director of Crisis Services and you will work on-site.

As a Licensed Clinical Community Service Providers, you will provide Children and Family Treatment Support Services (CFTSS). These mental health services available with New York State Children's Medicaid program, give children (up to age 21) and their families the power to improve their health, well-being and quality of life. Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University at Albany seeks applicants for an Asset and Scheduling Assistant to support a campus-wide project to replace all non-Windows 11 compatible computers by Fall 2025. This is a large project with a tight timeline. Faculty, staff, conference room, classroom, and research lab computers will be replaced.
The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively as a member of the project team to schedule appointments and rooms, track the availability, procurement, and receipt of computer/hardware assets; generate, edit and manage required reports; and update the asset inventory ensuring its integrity and authority for ongoing use beyond the project. They will have latitude and authority for independent decision-making and have authority to work with faculty, staff and department representatives directly and on behalf of the project. Requires knowledge of different tools/applications and how the data in each is used and related, including O365 applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Access, etc.), Smartsheet, and a ticket management application.
The project team members consist of the project manager, the Desktop and Mobile Computing service owner, the Field Support Group Deployment Group supervisor, and the ITS Central Business office, among others. A high degree of integrity in communications to the project team, faculty, staff and department representatives is required, including developing effective communications, and responding with regular and follow up communications to ensure the project needs and expectations are communicated to faculty, staff, and department representatives and their needs are communicated back to the project team.
All work must proceed efficiently and effectively. The work requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, ability to follow pre-defined processes and workflows accurately and the ability to work independently, and to make appropriate decisions, as part of a project team. While focus is on following established processes and workflows, they should also be prepared to identify, recommend, or implement continuous improvements to improve efficiency.
They must be able to complete work within scheduled time constraints and maintain a personal working schedule that allows work and daily responsibilities to be completed as scheduled. This program is intended to offer opportunities to better meet the behavioral health needs of children early on and to prevent the onset or progression of behavioral health conditions. These services strengthen children and their families, and help them to make informed decisions about their care and are provided either at home or in the community. Responsibilities
- Provide Home and Community-based Assessments, counseling, and treatment planning to children and their care givers.
- In Person, in the home, community-based, in office and telehealth to meet the needs of our clients.
- Complete an assessment of needs and recommendations for further medically necessary services, such as rehabilitation services. Services are delivered in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.
- Work with family members, advocates and other salient parties to identify goals of treatment. Provide observations and information to collateral contacts for the purpose of the progress and tracking of the Treatment Plan goals.
- Complete all required documentation for submission to the Supervisor within the required timeframes.

- Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.

Associate Director for Greek Leadership

Position Purpose: Oversees and directs the operations, vision, and programs for Greek life at Union College by facilitating an environment where members of the Greek community can be challenged and supported in their personal growth, efforts, and experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to students. Coordinates recruitment/intake and the annual review processes for all student Greek letter organizations. Designs and implements leadership development programs for the Greek community, including programming in the areas of risk management, membership recruitment/intake and education; problem resolution, and community planning.
- Supervision: Supervises the Community Director for Greek Houses. Indirectly supervises Greek house managers and part-time party monitors. Guides and supports the community director and student staff community development efforts, including the implementation of curricular engagement guides and corresponding assessments.
- Student Health and Safety: Monitors and intervenes with students who may be struggling academically and/or with other behavioral and developmental issues. Refers accordingly to services as needed. Participates in regular professional staff on-call rotation, providing crisis intervention and serving as a resource or referral agent. Understands and enforces Code of Student Conduct and other policies regarding behavior, safety, security, health, and other matters in cooperation with the appropriate offices. Serves as a campus judicial hearing officer. Participates in CARE team meetings and provides culturally responsive support to students.
- Collaboration: Builds relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to advance the Greek Life program and support its mission. Works in collaboration with designated staff in College Relations to interface with fraternity and sorority alumni. Serves as the liaison to national organizations, chapter advisors, and other College departments.
- Administration: Holds regular office hours to address student and staff needs. Manages the budget for the Greek Life department, allocating resources to support programming, events, and operational expenses. Attends campus community events. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field and 3-5 years of student affairs experience or equivalent, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. About EMPAC | Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center “The concert hall of the 21st century has arrived. But in addition, the huge building, laid out on a hillside, houses a 400-seat theater with comparable versatility; two black-box studios, one geared more toward sound, the other toward sight; and space for rehearsals and other uses. And for their electronic and data needs, all these components have access to one of the world’s biggest supercomputers.” The New York Times (10/08/2008) At the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Institute), the arts, sciences, and technology meet under one roof in four exceptional venues. This incredible 220,000 square foot building, designed by London-based Grimshaw Architects, opened in 2008 and is an unmatched model of acoustics, infrastructure, and architectural engineering with state-of-the-art performing arts infrastructure and architectural engineering. EMPAC’s concert hall features 1,165 seats with the ability to sculpt the acoustical soundscape for musical performances and equipment for screens, projections, and staging elements. The Goodman Studio/Theater and Studio 2 are versatile spaces that can be used to create immersive experiences utilizing both projection and sound technology. EMPAC’s theater features computer-controlled rigging, a sixty-foot fly tower, and advanced recording audio and video recording technology. Beyond the four core venues, EMPAC houses residency studios, research offices, green room, soloists/conductor suites, changing rooms, and the main lobby level, as well as café and mezzanine levels, which are often used by students as studying and meeting spaces. EMPAC currently commissions, presents, and researches interdisciplinary time-based visual art and the entire range of performing arts genres. It is on the precipice of its next era as a local, regional, and global research entity and destination in exploring the industry and market in which the EMPAC business model exists and how it will evolve. EMPAC will embrace how its purpose deeply aligns with the Institute’s Rensselaer Forward strategic plan in its 2024 Bicentennial and over the next 10 years with strategic themes embedded in Education, Research, Translation, Regional Engagement, and Welcoming & Inclusive Community. The Institute’s strategic goals include becoming the premier arts and creativity-driven science and engineering university; creating a robust and holistic learning community focused on the generation and discovery of new knowledge, processes, and products at the interface of science, technology, and arts; and leading a renewal of and integration with the Capital Region. Curatorial Activities Artists-in-residence work with EMPAC’s technological resources in order to produce work at the center, often planned years in advance. Artist residencies are uniquely tailored to each individual artist, and members of the EMPAC production staff are deeply involved in the development of artistic ideas of the residencies. Artists in residence share their artistic research through the process, and visitors can also engage in experiences ranging from theater productions, concerts, and installations to an interdisciplinary program of screening, talks, and workshops. EMPAC resources are used for research by the Institute’s community and otherwise are utilized for meetings, workshops, and symposia. The unique polyvocal curatorial programs at EMPAC lead to the creation of diverse time-based artworks and hundreds of artists have created and presented their new works that foster deep artistic inquiry and audience engagement. The artistic projects are supported in depth over extended periods of time, allowing the artists to fully realize their visions using the exceptional technological infrastructure and the expertise of the EMPAC staff. Collaboration with other institutions, presenters, and museums is key to EMPAC’s goal of expanding audiences and connecting more deeply to the on-campus and external communities it serves. Research Initiatives In addition to its curatorial program, EMPAC is the center of robust research initiatives driven by Institute students, faculty, and staff from all five schools. Using the venues and with the support of EMPAC’S professional experts, researchers are supported in work centered on the questions of understanding human sensory experience, communication, and interaction with computing systems. From student work to research and performance opportunities, extracurricular clubs to special events, EMPAC offers a range of ways for Institute students to be involved. Since 2020, EMPAC has also been part of the Google Arts & Culture project, allowing visitors to enjoy stories on various topics, including the building’s design and construction and spatial audio and wave field synthesis. While EMPAC is independent of any individual school of study, it plays a critical role in centering the Institute in the international discourse around arts, science, and technology.

Job Summary | The Executive Director of EMPAC will guide and deliver on its mission and vision as a global center at the intersection of the arts, science, and technology. They will be accountable for a strategic direction, business model, and adaptive change that are in alignment with the Institute’s Rensselaer Forward plan, including the goal to create the most welcoming and inclusive community possible for faculty, staff, students, and the external community EMPAC serves. The Executive Director will maintain a presence both on and off campus by actively participating in the community and establishing international visibility at relevant conferences and other events that increase exposure and access to artists that could curate, produce, or be presented by EMPAC. These activities are focused on preserving an integrated interdisciplinary pedagogical approach to research, programs, and campus events that inspire active participation by faculty and students in and attendance at EMPAC. The Executive Director will partner with each of the School Deans and Institute Administration to coordinate student learning outcomes, activating EMPAC as a hub for student learning on campus. They will oversee, inspire, and collaborate with a dedicated staff while investing in them and securing the resources that ensure EMPAC remains at the forefront of technological advancements. In collaboration with Institute Advancement and the President, the Executive Director will establish and maintain a portfolio of donor relationships that support the capital and operating needs of EMPAC, including its facilities, programs, and research. Additionally, the Executive Director will spearhead plans with the Office of Community Engagement and Communications to engage with local and regional organizations, as well as too raise the unique profiles of both EMPAC and the Institute in the region and on national and international levels. EMPAC’s core annual operating budget in fiscal 2024 is $4.6 million with additional expenses embedded in the Institute’s operational structure, and it has approximately 40 full-time staff. The current direct reports to the EMPAC Executive Director include Associate Director (Arts), Associate Director (Research), Director (Stage Technologies), Lead Audio Engineer, Senior Business Administrator, Senior Systems Administrator, Manager (Communications & Grants), Manager (Design Communications), and Manager (Administrative Operations). |
Qualifications | Qualifications The successful candidate will have a minimum of a master’s degree, or equivalent experience, and 8-10 years of senior management expertise in commissioning, promoting, programming, producing, and/or presenting contemporary music, theater, dance, multi-media, or other experimental creative industry initiatives. A comprehensive understanding of associated production, capacity utilization (both venue and staff), audience development, and venue management is important. Although experience in an academic environment is helpful, those with demonstrable results in nonprofit or corporate structures are welcome to pursue this unique opportunity. Exceptional relationship management, donor cultivation, and creative industries expertise with leading producers and artists at the national and international level is preferred. The capacity to work flexible hours on evenings and weekends is required in best serving the needs of numerous stakeholders. Athletics Equipment Manager
Supervisor: Assistant Director of Athletics - Business Operations
Pay status and classification: Exempt, Regular full-time. This is a 12-month position.
Position Purpose: Oversees, organizes, and directs all aspects of the athletics equipment area in support of the mission and core values of Union College. Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at Division I.
The College is committed to excellence in academics and athletics, diversity and a well-balanced, broad based intercollegiate athletics program dedicated to the concept of the student-athlete.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operations: Manages the day to day services of the athletics equipment room. Coordinates laundry room operations with coaches to ensure needs are met. Maintains inventory for accurate equipment and apparel records. Oversees distribution, collection and maintenance of records. Collaborates with Hockey Equipment Manager to ensure successful oversight of services for programs.
- Safety: Ensures proper fitting and adjustment of equipment for intercollegiate programs to provide a safe environment for student-athletes. Ensures all equipment and apparel is ready for safe use and remains current with industry standards for safety. Successfully maintains Athletic Equipment Manager Association (AEMA) certification.
- Administration: Oversees the purchasing of equipment and apparel for intercollegiate sport programs. Collaborates with coaches for program needs, create purchase orders, projecting apparel and equipment budgets. Builds relationships with athletics vendors. Continually evaluates policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness of equipment room operations. Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates staff of work-study workers. Adheres to NCAA, College and athletic department policies. Pitches in to assist colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of successful experience in athletics equipment operations and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience, including football and ice hockey.
- Knowledge of maintaining equipment for ice hockey and football to ensure safety.
- Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA certification) or the intent to complete the certification once eligible.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends for equipment operations at practices and games, which include home and away contests.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.), and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Must possess or obtain a valid New York State driver’s license.
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of federal, state, local, and NCAA, rules, policies and procedures.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including attention to detail.
- Effective computer skills for maintaining accurate records, budget forecasting and purchasing of equipment and apparel.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to exercise exceptional judgment, ensure strict confidentiality, and demonstrate outstanding professionalism in a range of situations.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $50,000.00-$55,000.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
